Output 1
Combine digital teaching–learning (EAD) with project-based learning (PBL)
O1 - Digital Competencies Survey
Output 1 is the Digital Competencies Survey. This output is divided into two separate deliverables:
- first, the survey itself is to be applied to HE lecturers/teachers to ascertain whether they have the required EAD skills; it takes less than 3 minutes to accomplish;
- second, the analysis of the responses collected results in a suggested learning path of digital skills for education (see O2).
Digital Competencies and Learning Path: 3-Minute Survey
Welcome! The Erasmus+ project team behind “D-PBL - Advancing Project-Based Learning into the Digital Era” has developed this brief survey to help you evaluate your digital competencies and receive a personalized learning path to support your growth in digital proficiency. This survey provides a quick, targeted assessment and does not replace the in-depth evaluations offered by DigCompEdu’sCheckIn for Higher Education or SELFIEforTEACHERS. Those tools deliver a comprehensive look at digital competencies in education but are more time-consuming. The D-PBL survey, on the other hand, is designed for speed, capturing your current proficiency and guiding you to relevant resources within the D-PBL: Training Toolkit for Teachers.
This 3-minute survey includes 12 statements on various aspects critical to digital proficiency. For each statement, please rate your agreement on a scale from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree”, with “neither agree nor disagree” as a neutral choice. As you respond, think about whether you perform each activity on a weekly basis. For instance, the first statement reads, “I use digital channels and technologies to collaborate with students and colleagues within and outside my educational organization”. If you use digital channels weekly, choose “strongly agree”; if you use them on a monthly basis, select “neither agree nor disagree”; and for rare usage, such as every four months, choose “strongly disagree”. Please apply this weekly/monthly usage scale consistently for all statements.
The survey results will include an assessment of 20 digital competencies on a scale from 1 (basic) to 5 (expert), along with a rating of your proficiency across the six DigCompEdu areas. Based on these evaluations, you will receive specific training recommendations for each area, targeted at levels A and B of the DigCompEdu framework. Level C users are considered fully autonomous and capable of identifying learning resources independently.
Your responses will remain confidential and help us continuously adapt and enhance the training toolkit to better suit the needs of various educator segments. Thank you for your participation in advancing digital proficiency in education!
