2nd Multiplier Event VTDK

On Thursday, November 28th, 2024, from 10:00 to 16:00, the Technical Faculty of Vilnius College, located at Olandu str. 16, Vilnius, successfully hosted a Multiplier Event (presentation & dissemination) for the D-PBL project, organized by the VIKO team.

The event focused on the Erasmus+ project “D-PBL: advancing project-based learning into the Digital Era,” with the project number 2021-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000032011. The event featured presentations and workshops on the following topics:

  • Digital Competencies Survey: Lecturer Brigita Šustickienė presented the results of this survey, which was conducted as part of the project.
  • EAD Training Toolkit for Trainers: Brigita Šustickienė also presented the results of the second intellectual output, focusing on training toolkit materials for teachers.
  • D-PBL Project Overview: Project coordinator Jolanta Pileckienė provided an overview of the project’s goals, objectives, and intellectual outputs, including:
    • Architecture of digital PBL elements
    • Guidelines for Digital Problem-based Teaching-Learning
  • PBL in Community Action Projects: Kristina Višnevskienė presented on the application of project-based learning in community action projects.

Workshops:

Two workshops were conducted during the event:

  • Practicing project-based learning by design thinking
  • Tools for PBL: Moodle activities

These workshops were led by Assoc. Prof. Jelena Mamčenko from Vilnius Tech University and project researcher Brigita Šustickienė.

Target Audience:

The event was attended by a diverse group of participants, including:

  • Professors, researchers, and lecturers from various Lithuanian educational institutions (universities, colleges, and institutes)
  • Representatives from the digital sector, including businesses, associations, and NGOs

Event Highlights:

  • Welcome Remarks: The Dean of the Technical Faculty welcomed the attendees and introduced the event.
  • Project Presentation: The project’s goals, objectives, and outcomes were presented in detail.
  • Training Toolkit and Moodle Platform: Participants had the opportunity to explore the training toolkit materials and the Moodle platform, which provides practical resources for implementing D-PBL.
  • 13.30 to 15.30 – Workshops: The workshops offered hands-on experience in applying design thinking to project-based learning and utilizing Moodle tools for effective PBL implementation.
  • 15.30 to 16.00 – Discussion and Feedback: The event concluded with a discussion and feedback session, allowing participants to share their insights and experiences.

The D-PBL consortium believes that face-to-face events like this are crucial for fostering collaboration, building stronger relationships, and promoting knowledge exchange among participants from different institutions and sectors.
